Private Sector Workers Allow to Do Two Jobs in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Ministry of Human Resources has given confirmation in their recent announcement that employees from private sectors are allowed to hold dual employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In spite of that, the ministry has drawn attention by telling the importance of going through the bylaws of the company and employment contracts to make it certain that there are no limitations or rules on holding two jobs at a time.
“Private sector employees are allowed to combine two jobs,” the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources said.
“The employee is not registered in an organization and company? Both are calculated in the range,” this came as a response after the announcement became viral by the Ministry of Human Resources.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been diligently focused on modulating the job market and strengthening its competitiveness. Earlier in 2023, the Ministry of Human Resources formally introduced a testimonial authentication process through the Qiwa online platform, demanding private sector organisations to take down a certain percentage of worker contracts in every quarter in 2023. The authentication documented 20 percent of their total employees’ contracts in the first quarter of 2023, whereas, 50 percent in the second half, and 80 percent in the third quarter.
The plan of the authentication process aims to shield the ethical rights of both the employees and the employers, promoting a sustaining work environment that can equally support to increase the count of productivity and build up the job market more stronger. Back in 2020, Saudi Arabia executed a remarkable labour improvement, particularly in the system of its sponsorship, giving complete authorisation for larger job mobility, synchronising the visas for exit and re-entry for workers living away from their nation without asking for any approval from the employer.
The reforming process enables non-native employees to transmit linking the employers beyond the contract termination without any consent of the employers. It will equally allow them to travel to outer destinations from Saudi Arabia without any requirement of approval from their employers.
