The biggest fashion event in Dubai started in Dubai on Monday, October 9, and will run till Sunday, October 15 at D3 or Dubai Design District. Dubai Fashion Week, one of the eminent fashion events in the region, was Founded by D3 (Dubai Design District) and the Arab Fashion Council. 

The star-studded appearance of Carolina Herrera as a Guest of Honour in this season of Dubai Fashion Week will uncover their SS24 collection by presenting them featuring exclusively designed outfits for this event.

October 10, Tuesday the runway will flourish with a sustainable-themed presentation by the Pipatchara, a popular homegrown brand known for its unique macrame handmade techniques, and Lili Blanc, a luxurious ready-to-wear brand at D3(Dubai Design District).

Dima Ayad, Lama Jouni, Mrs. Keepa, Weinsanto, and many other popular members of the Dubai Design District will also present their collection during the 7-day event of the grand celebration of fashion. Additionally, there will be over 25 fashion designers, from 12 different countries in the world going to participate in the Dubai Fashion Week throughout the coming week.

Placing Dubai on the global fashion stage firmly, Dubai Fashion Week will showcase Spring Summer 2024 Ready-to-Wear collections and Fall-Winter 23/24 Couture designs for women. This fashion event is a celebration of both regional and international design talent. Designers from various parts of the world such as Asia, Europe, America, and across the MENA region will be presenting their works in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai Fashion Week will praise the Dubai-based local designers and welcome them on the runway.

October 10, 2023, is also a remarkable day as the most anticipated Mega Showroom is going to launch at Dubai Design District or D3. The Mega Showroom at Dubai Design District is going to introduce a business-to-business pop-up shopping experience for designers and introduce an innovative and interesting concept of  ‘Shop the Runway’, which is going to be a great outcome for all fashion enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates. The plan of the showroom is arranged by the Arab Fashion Council and handled by FLTRD (For the Love of Talent & Radical Designers), going to be hosted on the Ground floor of the 11th Building at Dubai Design District. The showroom will be open every day from 11 AM to 9 PM. All the designs collected and presented on the runway will be available for purchase by the common people. This is a step to boost creativity and support the talents.

Anaya

Chathuri Samaraweera, the Founder and creative director of Anaya was born in Sri Lanka. She worked in Los Angeles before launching her ready-to-wear fashion house Anaya which is extremely elegant, and for females. Including an in-house atelier and brand showroom in Dubai, one can also shop at Anaya online and across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait.

Lili Blanc

Sabrina Mouhieddine, the founder of the luxury ready-to-wear brand Lili Blanc is a designer from Lebanon. She has been based in Dubai for one decade. Sabrina Mouhieddine established  Lili Blanc in 2020 with a modern tailored approach to renovate women’s fashion. Sabrina Mouheiddine’s collections are available to shop online. The Giving Movement, a famous homegrown brand in Dubai launched in 2020. Since then the brand has worked with full courage to become better or more successful. Zeena Zaki

Zeena Zaki, a haute couture designer from Iraq launched her fashion brand in Dubai in 2006. Before the launch, the famous designer had lived in Iraq and Kuwait. Her designs are now being displayed across the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council). The brand and designs are worn by many popular celebrities such as  Kris Jenner and Lana Del Rey.
