ULTRA Electronic Dance festival for the first time is coming to Abudhabi. The event is a rave among music and party enthusiasts to get wild and come undone. So dance your heart out this year at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Park, Yas Island. The event will have artists like David Guetta, Marshmallow and so on performing for the crowd. So let us dive in and take a look at the most awaited Abu Dhabi’s EDM festival. 

The ULTRA Music Festival 

ULTRA music festival started its journey 24 years back in 1999 at Collins Park Miami Beach. From a humble start, ULTRA has now grown to be a sensation among music lovers. Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes were not successful during the beginning of their ULTRA journey. The pair witnessed a huge financial loss, but it did not discourage them.

The first rounds of ULTRA music hosted celebrities like Rabit in the Moon and Paul Van Dyk. The success of ULTRA began during the early 2000s as they changed their location to Bayfront Park. The change of location attracted almost 50,000 people and by the mid-2000s the ULTRA was hosted by the best in the field like Pete Tong, Tiesto, and Erick Morillo. 

When ULTRA Comes to Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi was all prepared to welcome ULTRA to the Middle East for the first time in history. But due to covid, we had to wait for 2 more years for the history to be written in 2023. The event will take place at Etihad Park, which has hosted the 2017 Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix. You can get the ticket for the event from the ULTRA official website. The event will be held on the 4th and 5th of March 2023. 

The event will host two stages — on the 4th of march it is focused on a big main stage which will be dedicated to commercial sounds and on the 5th the event will focus on the house-centric Resistance stage which is dedicated to house and tech music. 

There are more clarities yet to be made on the event, the artist lineup and ticket pricing are yet to be decided by the organiser ‘ Live Nation Middle East’. Even though there is no official confirmation yet artists like Afrojack, Zedd,  Armin van Buuren,  Swedish House Mafia, Marshmello, and Martin Garrix are a few of the artists expected. 

Abu Dhabi Get Ready for ULTRA Music Fest

The ULTRA music festival is not something every ordinary person can manage. The crowd going crazy, the bright lights, body paints, and loud music; you have to take precautions to handle the rave of ULTRA music fest. Crowd gatherings, like music festivals these days are reporting a number of incidents. So here are a few tips you need to keep in mind. Even though the Abu Dhabi laws and guidelines are there to ensure your safety; one always has to stay alert and conscious to keep away from trouble. 

First thing first; when you are at the music festival look for the stations where help desks are kept and note down if you are provided with contact details of volunteers. Medical service etc. in case of any possible emergency or requirements you can always contact them. 

Overheating can be a sure issue that can occur; when we consider the climate condition of Abu Dhabi and heat from the swarms of the body, it is unavoidable. Things you can do to survive this is wearing clothes that are breezy and comfortable to stay hydrated while you are at ULTRA Music Festival.

Always keep in mind to bring an ID with you. There are high chances you will be denied entry if you don’t have a valid entry that can prove your age.  The ULTRA Music Festival is open to all people around the globe provided they are 18 years old and above. You will be allowed entry once you have provided age proof to the securities at the festival gates. You can carry with you, your driver’s license, passport, and any other IDs approved by your state or the government authority. 

Since there are reported signs of covid rise, there is a high chance that there will be covid restrictions. Official statements are yet to be made by the Abu Dhabi authority and the coordinators of the ULTRA music festival. Make sure you carry your own sanitisers and extra masks with you. You can also carry some extra wet baby wipes too, it might come in handy.

Carry some antiseptics and bandages with you. Since you are dancing around and having fun all day, you can knock on somebody or something and get yourself injured. Even if you are not going around knocking off people you can get hurt by your footwear, the blisters are very common when you are dancing and walking around all day. 

A note to yourself, bring good sunscreen and chapsticks that have good SPF coverage if you don’t want to get sunburned and chapped lips. The hot arid climate of Abu Dhabi and all-day exposure to the sun won’t do good to your skin. So it is advised, you carry some necessary tools from the skin care product range. 

Again a remainder – drink your water, and stay hydrated. Most of the health emergencies that happen at Music Festivals and other events are due to people skipping their water consumption. So while you are at the music festival having fun drink water at proper intervals.

A note to all women out there, ditch your high heels and carry comfortable sneakers to the event. Wearing heels for a long while at the party can be physically exhausting and a painful experience. Carry extra comfy footwear that you are sure won’t give you blisters. 

If you have been to any music festivals before, you would know how loud the music is played here. So carry earplugs with you and sunglasses to avoid head-wrecking migraines later. And if you are someone taking medications do make sure you carry every item in a see-through bag. Because it can help you prevent the stress of digging into your bag to get what you are looking for.

Ticket and booking – ULTRA Policy 

When you are purchasing tickets for the ULTRA music festival, you must only buy tickets from their official website UltraMusicFestival.com or the Ultra Worldwide app. You can buy general, premium and VIP experience tickets. 

One can buy a maximum of 4 general tickets. The payment can be done through PayPal, and credit cards of MasterCard, Visa, American Express etc. To purchase the ticket you have to give in personal details, this is to ensure that you are 18 years or above.

When you purchase a premium experience ticket, you will have access to the PGA lounge with a bar and relaxation area. You will also have private stalls spread through the ground which are fully air-conditioned. 

The VIP Experience includes a unique entry for the customers. Only the VIP members will have access to the VIP village, which can give you a breathtaking elevated view of the main stage. One has to be 21 years of age or older in order to make purchases of VIP tickets and enter the VIP village.

The tickets once purchased are not refundable if you fail to cancel them before it is confirmed. In case the event is not conducted due to an issue from the organizers or the government authority; a complete or partial refund will be given to all the customers.
