The purest ice in the world has arrived successfully after completing a remarkable journey in Dubai. The glacier ice is 20 tonnes in size and saw 20,000 kilometers of crystal clear cargo sail. The ice has been harvested and formed for over 100,000 years from the glaciers in Greenland and stored in the Arctic, later the pieces of ice were transferred in nine weeks via Denmark.

According to sources, the valuable cargo is now stored at the Natural Ice factory located in  Al Quoz. Inside the Natural Ice factory, the ice structure is kept under sub-zero temperatures.

Based on the information shared by the Arctic Ice, which helped in shipping the ice to the United Arab Emirates many of the well-known hotels and restaurants have shown interest in this product. They also said, that their produced ice can be used in almost every kind of food item, beverage, and drink because it is the purest form of H2O currently available on Earth. The chairman of international relations at Arctic Ice, Samir Ben Tabib is happy and shows his gratitude towards the superiority of the formed ice.

He also said that they started receiving pre-orders for this ice. The company has decided to do their due assiduity and only after then proceed further. They will not sell the product to everyone. To buy the product, apart from all the requirements, it is also mandatory to match the venue with this exclusive product.

The company has confirmed the final packaging of this product as well as the process of deliveries which is all set to start within a month.

Tasting the Purity

The purest form of ice on Earth has been stored maintaining the regular shape of ice cubes.

An executive from Arctic Ice said that glacier ice usually melts slower than regular ice, hence it will help make drinks that can last for a longer time. The executive also said the ice formed from the iceberg has almost similar to no taste. This is the most useful feature, so that it won’t represent other strong tastes while the beverage melts, the taste of this ice is completely different from tap water or mineral water. Combined with the glacier ice the beverages will taste in the way they should taste, while with regular ice it changes the taste that we don’t understand how.

According to the Arctic Ice, the glacier ice is pure and has not been polluted and damaged by modern industry.

A Journey from Glacier to Glass

Although there is no disclosure from Samir Ben Tabib regarding the cost of shipping the product to Dubai and the final amount set to sell the product for.  However. He confirmed this product will get stocked at some high-end cafes and restaurants, and also the homes of individuals with huge net worth.

The company, Arctic Ice has four founders, among them two are popular Arctic engineers. The slabs of ice were shipped to Dubai in completely eco-friendly containers, and the shipment was completed after a long 65 days of journey.

While explaining the complete process of harvesting the ice he said the company does not believe in taking ice from glaciers. There are tonnes of ice breaks every year from huge glaciers when the weather gets warmer. The production by Arctic Ice thereby has a very minor impact. He compared it with taking 1 or 2 grains from a whole silo of corn.

Every slab of ice is manually and manually chosen and inspected thoroughly right before moving forward in a vessel of production with the help of a crane.

Once the ice is harvested, it is processed and placed inside insulated food-approved crates to transport. In the next step, the ice arrives at Nuuk, the capital of Greenland. By the time the ice is packed inside a shipping container where the ice is refrigerated for further international transport.

The Following Shipment

Depending on the orders and sales requirements the company will keep its eye on further shipments in the coming couple of months.

Samir Ben Tabib said, the company usually calculates every coming step in advance and proceeds all the work slowly and safely. The company aims to ensure the ice does not melt and that not even a single part gets wasted during the ongoing process of transportation.

The company is now looking forward to cutting down the time for transport from the next shipments by re-routing the shipment across Germany instead of Denmark to five weeks.

He further added that the Arctic Ice is forming strong relationships with some well-known companies in the Middle Eastern region and looking for more partners to assist from the Middle East.

According to Arctic Ice, Saudi Arabia has a very dynamic market ongoing. The company also got interest from India and Switzerland. Hence, the company is going through all the requirements properly to open up with a wide distribution all around the globe.

Environmental Concerns

The chairman of the company stated categorically for global relations that the operations of this company do not cause any reason to harm the glaciers. They only collect ice that is completely detached from the main glacier and stay afloat in the fjords. Most of the ice blocks otherwise get melted inside the ocean. Arctic Ice aims to extract a very small part of the ice every year, which will be equally sufficient to provide all the clients with a pure and valuable product.

The company builds a plan to involve ships powered by batteries in this operation to provide maximum benefit to the environment. They aim to switch to a 100 percent carbon-neutral process in the next five years.

The chairman said that the Arctic Ice plays the role of an alternative source of income for the residents of Greenland, who are completely dependent on tourism and fishing.

He added the company does not harm the local environment for the people who use the area for hunting and fishing. In addition, they are even offering them an added opportunity to source and deliver ice to the company on such days when there is no catch.
