Dubai takes its place at the top and is ranked as the number one destination for ‘Travelers’ Choice Awards Best of the Best’ in the annual list of travel destinations across the globe by Tripadvisor. The city won this title for three continuous years and the reason behind it is the well-maintained system and disciplined lifestyle.

No doubt Dubai has witnessed a lot of progress in the tourism field in the past few years, but it was truly unexpected to see the small city, Dubai growing from the bottom line and with good work and progress leave London back as the most visited world destination.

Many people may know Dubai as a city to has many skyscrapers such as Burj Khalifa, or Burj al Arab, but many are not aware of the innovative infrastructure, maintenance of government rules, and a fixed motive on continuous progress.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council took this news to his official handle of X, formerly Twitter. 

He wrote, “the first city to achieve this recognition for three consecutive years in a row. Dubai’s consistent accomplishments in the tourism sector once thought to be an unattainable dream decades ago, are now a tangible reality thanks to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. We … extend a warm welcome to all our guests visiting us from around the world. Dubai is a destination that mixes modern culture with history, adventure with world-class shopping and entertainment.”

The other cities placed in this list are ranked in the mentioned order, Bali, London, Hanoi, Rome, Paris, and Cancun.

Tourism and Economic Agenda D33 of Dubai

The tourism sector has always played a key role in the government and leadership of Dubai.  Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has also mentioned in his note the goals in the tourism sector of Dubai in their economic agenda of D33. This economic agenda was declared by  Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum back in 2023. The agenda aims to make Dubai city rank “among the top 3 global economic cities and tourist destinations”.

Dubai stands out when the topic comes to global cities, too for a better reason. As Tripadvisor mentioned on their website.
