Dubai Future Forum 2023 to Kick off on November 27
Arranged by DFF or Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Future Forum is all set to take place at the Museum of the Future with the assistance of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DFF, and Chairman of the Executive Council.
The forum involves four key themes including empowerment of future generations, reimagination of nature, transformations in human life, and the relationship between humans and machines.
A number of over 150 spokespersons from the United Arab Emirates and across the globe are going to participate in 70 different keynote speeches and panel discussions. Additionally, there will be various workshops covering some interesting areas including artificial intelligence, technology, education, sustainability, space, environment, food, energy, medicine, health, governance, digital economy, and a lot more. More than 2,500 futurists from 100 countries worldwide will be attending the forum. Additionally, there will be around 100 international institutions that are going to take part in this forum.
Day 1: November 27, 2022
The very first day of the two-day-long forum will be hosting workshops, keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats, and many more different activities to bring a group of specialists together, including, His Excellency Ambassador Majid Al-Suwaidi, Director General & Special Representative of the UAE COP28 Presidency; Hazza Al Mansouri, Astronaut at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC), Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi, Astronaut at Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC); Warren Hoburg, Astronaut at NASA; Stephen Bowen, Astronaut at NASA; and Paul Savo, Assistant Professor at Stanford University.
The speakers attending the forum will talk about many important leading topics of discussion such as the future currency of the world, remarkable innovations within the energy sectors, how strategic foresight will play a key role in developing the future of politics, and the way of preparing ourselves for the coming era of artificial intelligence.
Day 2: November 28, 2022
The second day of the forum will start with a keynote address by Her Excellency Ohood Al Roumi, UAE Minister of State for Government Development and Future on the topic of the process behind developing sustainable and effective policies, followed by another keynote speech by Dr. Mary Lou Jepsen, CEO, Founder and Chairwoman of Openwater. Through this keynote, she will discuss on the revolutionary diagnosis systems and cures for major diseases.
The second and closing day of the Dubai Future Forum 2023 will introduce some influencing personalities like Dr. Grzegorz Ombach from Airbus; Daniel Blume from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD); Laurel Patterson from the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP); Prof. Matthew Agarwala from the University of Cambridge; Whurley (William Hurley), Founder and CEO of Strangeworks; and Prof. Marc Buckley, Regenerative Futurist, ALOHAS Regenerative Foundation.
The speakers will talk about how the nations will enumerate success in the future, quantum computing systems, how city planning will influenced by nature and technology, how we are going to experience travel in 2071, and how we can promote ethical decision-making with algorithms. Additionally, all the individuals attending the forum can witness the launch of the UNICEF Youth Foresight Playbook on day two or the final day of the event.
Activations
In the diversion of the Dubai Future Labs, Dubai Future Forum, and the partners at the MIT Senseable Dubai Lab and Japan Science and Technology Agency will present the work in the field of automation and robotics, and leverage informative data to give a better understanding about the urban landscape at the same time.
There will be another activation presenting a great chance to taste refined meat safely, chocolate made in the lab, as well as milk and eggs produced in a complete animal-free process, which will be a part of ‘putting the future of food to the taste test’.
