Dubai 10X: New Transformational Projects Approved by Sheikh Hamdan
The crown prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is the chairman of the Board of Trustees of DFF (Dubai Future Foundation) has signed off on a new series of futuristic advancement projects picked cautiously from the submitted 79 proposals in the field of transportation, healthcare, urban planning, and aviation in the third phase implementation of Dubai 10X initiative. These project approvals are a significant milestone in the third phase of the ‘Dubai 10X,’ a visionary by Dubai Future Foundation.
The aim of the ‘Dubai 10X’ initiative is to make Dubai the World Leader in future readiness. To accomplish this target, Dubai 10X 3.0, or the third Phase’s primary focus is to create a significant shift in the mindsets amongst the employees of different government sectors. The pivotal goal is to encourage the design and cultivation of unconventional & innovative projects and initiatives on an international level. These projects are specifically designed to overcome future challenges and accept upcoming brand-new opportunities.
In the highlight of approving new projects, Shiekh Hamdan said that he has given his approval to a set of various transformational and developmental projects which are granted in the hopes and expectations of improving and advancing Dubai’s approach towards a dynamic and creative future. The purpose of these projects is to enhance the quality of living for both the residents & citizens of Dubai and as well as the visitors. These projects not only add to the well-being of the people but also give priority to the living standards and health of the people.
Furthermore, these projects are assured to provide efficient and accelerated transportation within Dubai, improve the experience and travel in Dubai airports, and establish robust healthcare in the health sectors for quick detection of diseases in people. The visionary, ‘Dubai 10X’ is committed to enhancing operations in the government sectors, encouraging & promoting collaborations, and welcoming new innovative ideas that play a significant role in the advancement of important sectors both in the present as well as in the future.
Shiekh Hamdan has administered the work streams of the Dubai government to carry out the approved projects, making sure that the workforce is available across every entity. The intention behind this drive is to realize the goals of the ‘Dubai 10X’ initiative focuses on strengthening the collaborative efforts among various sectors to accelerate progress in each sector and bring out creative ideas through which both the regions in Dubai and the world can benefit.
Project Evaluation and Selection
The selected and approved projects for the third phase of the Dubai 10X initiative were carefully picked from a pile consisting of 79 projects. All of the 79 projects were developed as a result of cooperation and partnership by 120 government employees coming from 33 distinct Dubai government entities.
The process of selection comprised the interchanging of expertise and finest practices among government work streams along with the organizations constituting 25 workshops which ultimately brought the diverse government teams together to work, state, discuss, and refine their ideas. Some of the projects even witnessed collaboration between 11 government entities to bring out the idea.
The ideas that surged during this phase were mainly focused on the futuristic development spanning across various sectors ranging from aviation, transportation, energy sustainability, space, finance, trade, civil defense, space, infrastructure, community services, and many more.
Each of these projects went through a thorough evaluation process, highlighting specific benchmarks & conditions such as anticipated future outcomes, the potential of integration, the timeline of implementation of these projects along with the government services, the impact across the emirates, and the improvement of quality of life for the residents of Dubai.
To approve the new projects, a meeting was held where Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of DFF (Dubai Future Foundation) Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi; Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, Abdulla Al Basti; Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA (Roads and Transport Authority), Mattar Mohammed al Tayer; Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications & Deputy Managing Director of DFF, Omar Sultan Al Olama; CEO of DFF, Khalfan Belhoul attended the meeting.
Dubai 10X, an initiative envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE also the Ruler of Dubai, in 2017, has played a crucial role in boosting numerous dynamic projects within Dubai.
In addition to all these, the initiative has a direct contribution to government services by adopting innovation, advancement, and technology. By doing this, the initiative has reinforced Dubai’s position as a hub of innovative ideas, business models, and creative mindsets on a global level. Apart from this, it has promoted collaboration between various government entities in Dubai. The collaboration speeds up the discussion and refining of ideas, skillsets, resources, and above that the ideas within a combined framework.
