The Tree of Life generated by artificial intelligence or AI, a sustaining fashion show at Al Wasl Dome, theatre and dance performances, and many other things can be enjoyed for free at Expo City Dubai at the hosted conference of climate change, COP28.

As global leaders are creatively finding ways to make the planet cleaner and trying endlessly to increase green, the visitors and residents of the United Arab Emirates can also make themselves a part of this talk with a series of variety of experiences. While the Blue Zone at COP28 will be hosting formal discussions between all the policymakers, the Green Zone will be open for each one of the visitors attending the event.

The hub supporting the global issue of climate change will be featuring activation and installations of art starting from December 3 to December 12. Although the entry is free for all, the visitors attending the event must need to book a day pass to fix their spot for the particular day they wish to attend. The children aged 12 and under will not be required pass to register for any sort of admission.

Here is the list of 10 iconic shows, which can be experienced at Expo City Dubai. The shows are designed in a way to let the visitors experience the ultimate, and to  “educate, involve, and empower climate innovators as well as those curious about becoming climate actionists in their daily lives”.

Tree of Life: Artificial Intelligence, Art & Nature

At the Energy Hub, the residents and visitors can explore an interactive digital installation of art powered by Artificial Intelligence. The digital installation is inspired by Fuses Art and Ghaf Tree is a figure with artificial intelligence to represent a sustaining environment. The country of origin United Arab Emirates, the tree is known for sustaining in harsh and difficult conditions.

Fashion Show Showcasing Green

To represent the fashion show for the very first time in COP, Al Wasl Plaza will turn into a glamorous fashion runway on 6th December. Some renowned fashion houses will be unveiling and presenting their collections that support sustainability. This fashion show itself is a revolutionary change in the history of COP.

Projection of Inspiration & Hope

Nature is a sculpture of artificial intelligence formed by the Refik Anadol Studio. The eye-catching digital installation will transform the decoration of the Al Wasl Plaza into a light of inspiration and hope. This installation is laid on more than 400 million sets of data that are available for the public with the visuals of flora, water, and coral.

Concert that Describes the Future of Nature

Italian maestro Alessandro Martire, the famous Italian maestro will be presenting in a piano concert. The artist will be connecting with his listeners through the elements and sources of nature. Named as ‘the Artist of Nature’, the concert by Alessandro Martire will be taking place on December 4 at Al Wasl Plaza.

Bee the Change

Created by artist Leonie Bradley, The Swarm will be displaying bees utilizing paper fortune tellers made by the children. It will influence the delegates of COP28 to become a part of the event by writing down their words of honour about nature, folding the origami fortune teller, and making themselves a part of the collaborative artwork.

Environmental Activism with an Artistic Touch

The visitors will be taken forward by The Bright Light Burning and showcase a future story of a family in the year 2100. Although the world will be changed in the story of the future, the basic needs of a human will remain the same. This will also show how people will be looking after each other in the near future. The story will talk about how the future is getting affected by the decisions people are making in the present time.

With the direction of The Theatre of Others, the aim of the production is to guide the audiences to take relevant moves toward creating a future with sustainability.

Wake-Up Experience

The visitors are going to witness a glimpse into the world of the future, presented by Impact Nest this is going to be an immersive session that will let the audiences take a deep dive within the bounds of themselves. This event will represent the famous Indian personality, Yogi Sadhguru, and a visual narrative story by MP-STUDIO reflecting on the structure of Al Wasl Dome. The session will also be presenting both the  “stark climate horizon and potential solutions to what could become the most catastrophic mass migration wave in human history”.

Dance Performance for a Sustaining Culture

The Essar Group which is highly concerned about society, Avid Learning, will be presenting a musical treat that will celebrate the Kolis. Kolis are the native colonists of Bombay. The show will represent the connection they share with the sea. Settled against the scenic coastline backdrop in Mumbai, the attractive performance is to pay a wholehearted tribute to the richness of heritage and culture of the indigenous Koli folks.

Local is the Future of Economy

An event hosted by Al Ghadeer, Emirati Arts & Culture aims to work toward helping the local representatives of arts. The organisation will distribute various tools, equally train them, and groom them with all the possible ways for their products to be put up for sale. The space of arts will bring all the contemporary designs and traditional practices that represent the heritage of the Emirates such as Khous, Sadu, Teli, and Pottery.

The Theatrical Show Makes You Wonder

The dedicated space for Green Zone will organise two shows on a daily basis, and the number of shows will be increased to three during weekends. The characters who are larger than life will lead the narration to celebrate and represent a world that is connected internally. The show aims to build and foster inspiration and unity to build an even more sustaining and equating future ahead.
