The Dubai Police welcomed a new addition, Audi RS e-tron GT, to its luxury supercar fleet collection. The exhibition of the latest patrolling car took place at ATM (Arabian Travel Market), which was organized by Dubai’s WTC (World Trade Centre). The supercar was decorated with the signature green livery of Dubai Police. Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, who is the Major General, highlighted during the opening event that the Dubai Police is dedicated to providing tourists with top security monitoring with the most delinquent luxury standards, under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief, Lt. General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri. 

The GT electronic supercar by Audi is an incredible complement to the supercar fleet of Dubai Police, wherein, the collection already includes a list of luxury sports cars like Ferraris, Mercedes, BMW, McLaren, Bentley, Lamborghinis, and many more. The RS e-tron GT is equipped with a horsepower of 646 and 800 V lithium-ion batteries, which can run up to a speed of 470 km/h on the maximum level after one charge. Meanwhile, the approximate time it takes for the car battery to charge fully is around 30 minutes, which makes it a favourably efficient and dependable vehicle. 

The 2023 Arabian Travel Market will be held from the 1st to the 4th of May, where the visitors and tourists are expected to witness the exhibition of 12 products and services by the Dubai Police. This is to present the projects aimed at enhancing the experience of tourists in the UAE. The unveiling event was accompanied by the Director of the General Department of Criminal Investigation— Major General Jamal Salem Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department— Brigadier Khalafan Al Jallaf, Associate Board Member and Director of Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda Group of Companies— Juma Al Nabooda, Assistant Director-General for Administrative Affairs— Brigadier Harib Al Shamsi, AL Nabooda’s National Sales Manager of Audi— Gaurav Mudgil, AL Nabooda’s Marketing Manager of Audi— Rana Eyamie, and few senior officials.

The Emirates’ Dedication Towards Sustainability Continues 

With the addition of the new Audi electronic car to the supercar fleet of Dubai Police, the Emirates adds another to the list among the numerous projects towards innovation and sustainability to become a smart-country. The introduction of the RS e-tron GT is a crucial moment for the Dubai Police for several reasons, mainly to enhance the safety and protection of the tourist, the public, and visitors by displaying the security presence of the police. The addition of the Audi e-tron GT electric supercar is aimed to support the Emirates administration and global priority on promoting sustainable living in every aspect, securing Dubai a platform to showcase its modern beginning and influence the rest of the world. 

It is to be noted that this is the second electronic and environmentally safe car to be introduced to the fleet of Dubai Police. According to the Director of the Tourist Police Department, Brigadier Khalafan, the high-end patrolling cars of Dubai Police are intended to improve the protection presence around the tourist locations during occasions and local events and to play an essential role in delivering services to both travellers and the general public, such as providing information, responding their questions, and guaranteeing their security throughout their visit in Dubai.

The exhibition is expected to entertain 2000 or more representatives and exhibitors from more than 150 countries and is anticipated to welcome over 34,000 attendees during the course of four days. The 30th anniversary of the Arabian Travel Market, where they will focus on tourism, international travel, and hospitality, will be hosted under the topic, “Working Towards Net Zero”. In total, 12 products and services will be exhibited by Dubai Police to promote the security presence towards tourists and the general public with the objective of enhancing the overall holiday experience in the country.

About Audi RS e-Tron GT

Audi’s RS e-tron GT is a fully electronic-operated supercar released in 2023, which features an 800-v lithium-ion battery incorporated under the slim body, providing unparalleled performance during driving and charging. In convergence with the power recovery system, the supercar offers a capacity of a  maximum of 481 km per charge, which was tested in accordance with the WLTP (Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure), which is a universal standard for demarcating the ranks of pollutants, fuel consumption, and CO2 emissions of traditional, hybrid, as well as full electrical cars. As per WLTP, the Audi RS achieves a velocity of 481 km with a 3.3 s acceleration rate and the charge time taken for the battery to full is approximately 30 minutes. 

The RennSport design box adds stunning touches to the interior of the car, and the red stitchings on the black interior give a great contrasting touch to the overall appearance. The supercar also comes in a grey-coloured variant, wherein, the RennSport interior design accentuates elegance and advanced configuration. This RS e-tron GT electric sports car by Audi is assembled by integrating first-grade materials with steel grey tailoring, which gives a contrasting modern and urbane appearance. All in all, both the RS design variants deliver impressive and attractive touches to the interior.
