Today, at nine o’clock in the evening, the doors will officially open to the public for the 11th edition of the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF).

Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) in the United Arab Emirates will celebrate its 11th edition under the theme “Nature,” so let’s take a deep dive into the world of art at this event. Through creative and cultural activities, the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) showcases the works of local and emerging filmmakers, photographers, and artists.

Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ras Al Khaimah’s Ruler and Supreme Council Member, established the Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF).  As part of the emirate’s creative and artistic sectors, the RAKFAF promotes art, encourages cultural exchange, and supports the arts. Over 120 local and international artists from over 35 countries will showcase their talent at this year’s festival at Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village, which was the home of the ancient Al Za’ab tribe and pearling village in the 17th century.

As well as art enthusiasts experiencing a wealth of art-related experiences, there are a variety of thematic weekends, like heritage-related days, that bring to light the rich history of Ras Al-Khaimah and its people.

The Al Hamra Heritage town’s significant history comprises coral, sand, and clay in its construction. RAKFAF is an essential hub that serves as a place for artists from all over the world to network, connect with one another, and display distinctive works of art that depict nature in many different ways.

Chef Paolo Picarazzi and Kelly Picarazzi of the acclaimed Australian restaurant Antica Australis will also provide RAKFAF guests with the first Middle Eastern culinary experience ever offered. The team is going to prepare a special Italian-Emirati fusion meal that will consist of four courses. The meal will take cues from the organic farms and wildflowers in Ras Al Khaimah.

Additionally, the museum offers visitors traditional Arabic coffee workshops or qahwa. In contrast to the charming appearance of the city, visitors will have the chance to participate in workshops that combine elements of nature and the arts via the application of a wide variety of mixed media, ranging from pottery to silk. From Contemporary Impressionism Painting to 3D Rustic Wall Art through Potpourri, there are craft workshops for all levels. It is important to point out that the festival offers several activities, such as flower pot painting, explicitly geared toward children. A variety of tours are available, ranging from guided tours of the city to a closer look at Al Jazeera Al Hamra.
